Neuromuscular disorder

Neuromuscular disorder leads to the impairing the function of muscles. This happens as the result of neuron damage which carriers the message signals to muscles and muscular junctions. They are often genetic and some or immune system disorder. Exposure to toxins, chemicals, poisons may result in NMD, as they disrupt the electrical insulation in nerve. Polymyalgia rheumatic develop in geriatric patients where it is associated with temporal arteritis. Diseases like myasthenia gravis are caused due to antibodies,. Electromyography and genetic testing are commonly followed for the diagnosis for neuromuscular disorder. Though nor scientific cure for NMD, the treatment aims to improve the patients mobility and lifespan. Neurology 2020 will talk about the neuromuscular junctions and findings in neuromuscular disorders
