Biography

Dr. James White, Jr. is a Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Specialist and Social Worker with licensure/registration in all three specialties. He is Board Certified by the State of Michigan and American Nurses Association (ANA) as an Adult Registered Nurse Practitioner & Clinical Specialist. Dr. White's interests include wholistic intervention with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He has over thirty years of experience in delivering psychiatric services to various populations. He served as the Executive Director for Detroit Health Care for the Homeless, Inc. & other healthcare agencies. Dr. White holds faculty positions on the teaching staf of medical education institutions and lectures widely throughout the United States on medical and psychiatric topics, including NeurobiofeedbackSM and Pain Management. Dr. White received an Associates degree in Science from Bacone College, a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Northeastern State University, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science from Pittsburgh State University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology/Health Services Administration from Columbia Pacific University. He has also completed graduate studies at the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. His didactic and experiential background in business and administration are extensive. Dr. White has completed a 2 year preceptorship in Family and General Practice. He has consulted a great deal on Forensic matters with incarceration facilities in the greater Detroit area. He is also considered a Forensic expert in the area of traumatic brain injury.
